Spring always leaves me emanating peace and contentment. I always feel extremely free and content- the kind of feeling that makes you want to take a long road trip, blast the music and roll the windows all the way down. The kind that makes you forget about the spiders, beetles, ants and random creepy crawlies that live in the grass and take off your shoes to feel the grass between your toes. It makes me giddy at the thought of times that will be spent in the sun and the sun showers and flowers. It is one of the only times in the year that gives me unconditional, irreplaceable and intense hope of happiness. It is an unforgettable feeling. It reminds me of jazzy twangy acoustics and pointing out shapes in the clouds. Clouds in a blue sky that usually provides little chance of snow, but rather the promise of increasing temperatures and the initial color after months of drab brown black and white. Buds on the trees, green grass peaking out of the dead lifeless fields. It is a rebirth that inspires me to take life in a less serious way and makes me smile. Life rejuvenates itself every spring, the birds come back and bless us with their song, the sun warms my skin (despite its whiteness reflecting the rays). Finally I can sit on my step, play with the dogs in the yard and know that the summer is on its way. Spring always leads to summer, today always leads to tomorrow. Tomorrow promises summer. And I love it.
