Being in love in the fall reminds me of specific events that I don’t remember as my memories but hold them dear none the less. Love in the fall makes me want to walk mitten-handed through the color changing paths of the woods while laughing carelessly about silly hap-hazard things. It makes me think of warming my hands and bright red nose on/over a cup of hot chocolate that, for me, is always a 1:2 ratio of chocolate to marshmellow. It makes me think of warm wool jackets (not the suffocating bulky winter ones) that look sleek like a horse rider. It reminds me of beautiful knee high leather boots, also rider style, and cozy scarves tucked in at the neck. Fall leads to thanks giving and all the traditional delicious foods I wait for all year. Not to mention the colors. I love spring and summer dearly with their physical warmth, freedom and brightness. But fall brings me warmth in colors. The rich browns, reds and burnt oranges makes the world seem like a big bear hug of contentment. The cozy blankets and a reason to pull out my beloved mittens for another long winter makes everything wash from my mind. Even breathing in the crisp autumn air gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
Being in love in the fall isn’t fresh like the spring or flirty and fun like the summer. Its a warm comfort that seems to seep into your spine and make every inch of your body feel the serene joy that is having someone to hold your mittened hand down a country lane with the colors of fall encompassing you like a glove. A glove in your own hot-chocolate and marshmellow scented world.
like stripped mittens and a toque with a fluffy ball leaning to one side. I love it, it warms my heart<3
